I have always love the excuse, when attempting to conceal laziness on the part of the student, that student resorts to lying, and actually says to the teacher when posed the question “Where is your homework?”…my dog ate it.” Well, what happens to the kid who’s dog actually ate his homework?

those kids just have to take one for the team.
I’ll tell you what happens, no believes him. Well, at least not the teacher, but everyone else in the class knows that the kid has a black lab the size of an english mastiff, with a voracious appitite for any food within reach. And when that kid makes the mistake of leaving food on his homework, his dog is unable to differentiate between the homework and food. Therefore adding his english paper to the menu. And the kid ends up with a zero; all because the lazy kids in the world use it as an excuse to be funny or just can’t think of any other excuse.
